The latest addition to the Nokia X Series, which was announced a few weeks back in India, has just recently received FCC approvals to be used in the US. Indeed, we’re talking about the Nokia X2, which is a GSM/EDGE-only device with quad-band connectivity that makes it workable on any non-CDMA carrier in North America.
This Nokia X2 isn’t a smartphone and it only runs on series S40 OS. It has 2.2-inch QVGA display, stereo Bluetooth, FM Radio, 3.5mm headset jack, Opera Mini, microSD card slot, and a surprisingly large 5-megapixel camera with LED flash but only with fixed focused. It also seems to come as a music phone since it is complete with dedicated music keys on the side.
It is said that the Nokia X2 will first hit India this June for €85 or around $110, and it is also said that this device is actually created for the emerging markets.
