Nokia 5230 Nuron Now Official for T-Mobile

The Nokia 5230 announced back in August of 2009 has appeared again just last month as the Nokia 5230 Nuron. Back then, it is said to come under T-Mobile in March; and surprisingly, it looks like rumors are slowly becoming facts as the Nokia 5230 Nuron has now been officially announced.

This may not have Wi-Fi capabilities and it may only have fixed-focus 2-megapixel camera, but what makes this Nokia 5230 Nuron a lot interesting is that it is the “first US carrier-supported Nokia handset to come with free turn-by-turn navigation.” This will have built-in GPS receiver with the latest Ovi Maps that offers free voice-guided navigation. Maps pre-loaded include that of US, Canada and Mexico, and there are also 180 other countries available for download with no charge.

Other features of this Nokia 5230 Nuron then include 3.2-inch 640 x 360 touchscreen display, music player, FM radio, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.0, 3G, 70MB of internal memory, and a microSD card slot that supports up to 16GB.

This Nokia 5230 Nuron is said to become available by March 17 and rumors are saying that T-Mobile USA will offer this for $69.99 with contract and about $180 without.
