After passing the FCC approvals at the beginning of this month, the Nokia C3 has finally been announced during Nokia’s “Everyone Connect” event. As what we’ve previously mentioned and based on the new naming convention of Nokia, this Nokia C3 is believed to come with low-end specs.
Indeed, the Nokia C3 is a budget Series 40 phone, but somehow, its design could make up for its loss in function. This then makes it an interesting rival against the Samsung Corby series as well. This will have full QWERTY keyboard, 2.4-inch QVGA display, 2-megapixel camera, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, Ovi Mail, Ovi Chat, and 55MB of internal memory with microSD card slot for expansion up to 8GB.
This won’t have 3G or GPS, but for a price of €90 or about $122, I guess that should work. This will be available around the second quarter of this year in hot pink, slate grey and golden white colors.
